Who Am I?

First of all, thanks for continuing to browse through my website to learn a little more about me! Hi, My name is Raymond Lu a 20 year old born in Manhattan and raised in Queens New York City, I've lived my entire life in the bustling urban cities. I am a first generation Asian American student where my parents are from China specifically the Providence Zhejiang, Wenzhou. My first language is Chinese (Mandarin) however, I mainly communicate professionally in English. Being raised with two older sisters, me being the youngest and only guy in the family, I felt immense pressure on my shoulders once I grew older. With a family filled with STEM I pursued a similar route compared to my siblings. While still unsure to what my future beholds I am always seeking to learn new skills and gain experiences while connecting with people with different career goals, expanding my horizons and career aspirations as I navigate my early 20s.

Where Do I Study?
*My Academic Journey! ~*
I attended Robert F. Kennedy Community High School, a relatively small school located on Parsons Blvd in Flushing, with a graduating class of around 160 students. I had the honor of being named salutatorian and delivered a speech alongside the valedictorian at our graduation. During that moment, I expressed my gratitude to the faculty and friends who supported me throughout my journey and helped prepare me for the transition to college. Although I was initially unsure about which major to pursue, I believed that college was the perfect place to explore different paths and discover what truly aligns with my interests and passions.

I began my undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University, located in Long Island NY, where I pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering before deciding to transfer to Boston University to continue my academic journey. I am currently a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Manufacturing at Boston University located in the heart of Boston, MA! I am on track to receive my Bachelor's of Science in ME with a current GPA of 3.59/4.00 and an anticipated graduation of May, 2027.
